Volunteer: Learning Coach – After-School Homework Help (K-12)

Avenue941 is a Bradenton-based nonprofit that provides free after-school academic support to K-12 students in partnership with churches and the Manatee County School District. Our learning coaches work alongside site team leaders and teachers to help students with reading, math, and homework in a small-group setting, building both academic skills and confidence. We also provide dicipleship and devotion times.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Serve as a learning coach during our regular after-school sessions, which run 2:30 to 6:00 PM two afternoons a week at one of our 11 sites. You'll work one-on-one or with a small group of students on reading, math, and homework help. No teaching experience required; training is provided.

EXPECTATIONS: All learning coaches attend a volunteer orientation, complete a background check, and complete sexual abuse awareness training before serving with students. We ask for a consistent weekly commitment during the school year.
