Manatee Literacy Council

At the Manatee Literacy Council, we help adults in Manatee County improve their reading, writing, and English language skills so they can achieve greater independence at work, at home, and in the community. Through free tutoring, conversation groups, in-person and virtual classes, and workforce literacy programs, we empower adult learners to build confidence and create new opportunities. Volunteers play a vital role in changing lives through literacy — no teaching experience required, training provided.

Manatee Literacy Council provides free adult literacy services in Manatee County, including English classes, tutoring, conversation groups, workplace literacy programs, and basic reading and writing support.
