Harvest House

Who We Are

Our mission is to champion hope and transform lives through supportive and affordable housing, addiction recovery programs, and food security.

What We Do

Harvest House is a local supportive housing and hunger relief provider with 380+ beds and multiple programs throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. We serve members of our community who are working to rebuild their lives, including families experiencing homelessness, and adults with a history of addiction resulting in incarceration and homelessness.

Harvest House serves individuals through programs uniquely designed for two overarching populations: low-resource families and adults with a history of substance abuse resulting in incarceration and homelessness.

Family Services provides parents and children wraparound support to help them overcome various barriers to stable housing. Programs include emergency housing, permanent supportive housing, and affordable rentals.

Addiction Services offers unique tracks for adults coming from the Florida prison system. This Residential Recovery program is set in a peer-driven therapeutic environment, supported by professional staff and case managers. The residential recovery model is a hybrid between a half-way house and an inpatient treatment program.

Case managers work with clients to create a housing plan, set, track, and achieve goals, and access services to increase their well-being including counseling, addiction education, career placement, anger management, medically assisted treatment, behavioral health, relapse prevention, and more.

Food Security  The Harvest Food pantry distributes groceries and prepared meals to over 250 households in Sarasota weekly via a drive-thru distribution every Thursday. The Food Pantry operation also supports Harvest House clients. Key partners include Trader Joes, Publix, 7-Eleven, and All Faith’s Food Bank.

Wellness Within Reach  Wellness Within Reach provides free, trauma-informed mental health counseling for individuals and families. Licensed clinicians and supervised interns deliver therapy both on-site at Harvest House campuses and in clients’ homes, helping participants address trauma, strengthen recovery, improve family stability, and maintain long-term housing success.
